Getting Started

The Canon Powershot G11 is a professional-grade camera that has

the ease of a point-and-shoot. This is the perfect camera for a novice

user who wants to take great photos.

The Canon Powershot G11 is a still camera, and therefore needs

a memory card. Check the memory slot, located on the bottom of the

camera, to make sure the memory card is inserted properly. If it is not,

your images will not be recorded.

Take a few test shots to ensure the camera is working properly.

This will also help you determine how to best use the camera

To view your test shots, press the play button, located to the

right of the viewnder.

If your test shots are out of focus, you can x this by adjusting the

shutter. To help your camera focus, press the shutter button halfway

down and look into the viewing screen. When the camera focus is

correct, the camera will beep twice.Then, push the button all the way

down to take a picture.
