Protect important images to prevent accidental erasure by the camera

(p. 167).

 Press the m button, and then choose : in

the menu (p. 43). [Protected] is displayed.

 To cancel protection, repeat this process and

choose : again, and then press the m

button.

Access the setting screen.

 Press the n button, and then choose

[Protect] on the 1 tab (p. 44).

Choose a selection method.

 Choose a menu item and a setting as desired

(p. 44).



To return to the menu screen, press the

button.

• Protected images on a memory card will be erased if you format the

card (pp. 189, 190).

• Protected images cannot be erased by the camera. To erase them, cancel

protection settings first.
