When the EOS-1N was introduced, its specification read like a professional photographer’s

wish list. The EOS-1V adds to this. Stronger and more flexible, it boasts 45-point Area AF and a

record-breaking continuous shooting speed of 10 fps*. The revolutionary EOS-1V is the choice of

professionals around the world.

Maximum durability. The

EOS-1V features a die-cast

aluminium chassis with a

magnesium alloy shell. Silicon

rubber seals prevent dust and water from seeping into

this sophisticated machine. The EOS-1V uses an

electronically controlled rotary magnet shutter. This has

been designed to provide accurate, consistent and

trouble-free operation even after long use and severe

shooting conditions. In tests, over 150,000 shutter cycles

have been recorded.

Fast and quiet. A top shooting speed of 10 fps*

and whisper-quiet film transport enable you to capture

all the action. Working in concert with the precision-

engineered predictive AI Servo Auto Focus system the

EOS-1V lets you track fast moving subjects while

maintaining pin-sharp accuracy. A new mirror design

significantly reduces viewfinder blackout time.

Rapid, precise and flexible – the perfect

AF system. A staggering 45 focusing points can be

selected from the viewfinder individually or collectively,

automatically or manually. The 45 focusing points are

also linked to the camera’s 21 evaluative metering zones

ensuring the perfect exposure for the subject in focus.

The EOS-1V utilises an Area AF CMOS sensor for

unrivalled high-speed data reading efficiency. A built-in

32 bit RISC microcomputer contributes to an ultra-fast

AF speed.

Customise the EOS-1V to suit your personal

preferences. The EOS-1V’s Personal Functions enable

you to select and save your own favourite combinations

of Custom Function settings. The optional EOS Link

software allows you to download shooting data from the

camera to a computer. You can drop scanned thumbnail

images into the program to identify each shot and create

a powerful database of shooting information.
