Movie Record Button
A movie record button, featured on most
cameras, gives you instant access to movie
capture at the touch of a button.
Smart Auto in Movie
Effortlessly shoot superb movies with
sharp focus, excellent detail and vibrant
colours. Smart Auto in movies detects up
to 21 scenes then selects the optimum
settings, capturing every moment
as you saw it.
Record life as a movie in Full HD (1080p) or HD (720p)
resolution. Use the optical zoom to get closer to your
subjects and let Intelligent IS stabilise movement and
shake. Full HD 60p offers stunning footage of action, while
Hybrid Auto and Movie Digest capture a short movie clip
with each photo and create a bonus movie summary.
Not all features are available on all cameras, please refer to page 21.
HDMI
The HDMI port allows you to
connect your camera with an HDTV
and enjoy your photos and movies
in perfect clarity and crystal clear
sound. Support for HDMI-CEC
means that you can comfortably
control movie and image playback
using just the remote of a
compatible HDTV.
Super Slow Motion Movie
Slow down fast-paced action like
sports or add a spectacular effect to
a waterfall with Super Slow Motion
Movie. Movies can be recorded in
two settings: 240fps in QVGA
quality and 120fps in VGA quality.
Hybrid Auto / Movie Digest
Hybrid Auto and Movie Digest
capture a 4 second movie clip
before each shot – combining them
into a fun bonus movie summary of
your day. Hybrid Auto additionally
lets you take superb photos using
the power of Smart Auto.
Fine Detail Movie
Processing
Fine Detail Movie Processing
records videos by processing
approximately 4x the amount of
image detail than a conventional
Full HD-capable camera - for
improved clarity and sharpness.

Support for MP4 format allows for
easy playback and sharing of your
movies across various platforms
including smartphones and tablets.
