Exposure compensation is used to alter the camera’s standard
exposure setting. You can make the image look lighter (increased
exposure) or darker (decreased exposure). The exposure
compensation amount can be set up to ±3 stops in 1/3-stop increments.
First set the <7> switch to <1>.

Press the shutter button halfway.

¡Check the exposure level.

Turn the <5> dial to set the
desired exposure compensation
amount.
s The exposure level indicator <N> is
displayed on the LCD panel, and the
exposure compensation icon <y> and
the exposure level indicator <s> are
displayed in the viewfinder.
¡To cancel exposure compensation, set
the exposure level indicator to the
standard exposure index (<C> or
<a>).
