2 Drive systems

2.1 Removing the pickup unit

To remove drive related units, first remove the ADF unit from the copier.

1) Remove the document tray. (→ Basic

configuration > 1.1 Outer covers > 1.1.1

2) Remove the ADF. (→ Basic configura-

tion > 1.1 Outer covers > 1.1.2 Removal

of the ADF.)

3) Remove the main unit cover. (→ Basic

configuration > 1.1 Outer covers > 1.1.3

4) Remove the feed belt unit. (→ Basic

configuration > 1.2 Removal of the feed

belt unit · With the pickup unit and re-

verse delivery unit removed.)

5) Remove the ADF controller PCB. (→

Basic configuration > 1.3 ADF control-

ler PCB > 1.3.1 Removal)

6) Remove the pickup unit [1] by remov-

ing six black screws [2] and one white

screw [3].
