Setting New Expectations for Office Output
Common office output is just that - common. With the imageRUNNER
5000/6000, Canon has embedded a host of unique application func-
tionality allowing customers to spice up their document output and
information management. The vast majority of the imageRUNNER
5000/6000’s unique application capabilities are delivered via an inter-
nal 5.1GB Image Server and 128MB of RAM, which ship standard with
every unit. Examples of this functionality include:
Raise Your Output to a
New Standard
Confidential Mailboxes: The
imageRUNNER 5000/6000 supports the
creation of up to 100 indivdual user
mailboxes. Mailboxes can be used to
accept scanned and printed data, per-
mitting users to easily combine paper
and electronic information.
Scan-Once-Print-Many and Automatic
Page Orientation: Minimizes scanner
wear and tear while rotating scanned
pages to match cassette paper orienta-
tion.
Job Reservation: Allows users to store
up to 5 jobs in memory while current
print jobs are being processed.
Job Build: Permits the building of jobs
from disparate originals, easily integrat-
ing documents scanned through the
document feeder with those directly
placed on the glass.
Chapterisation: Supports the creation of
chapters when printing books and other
materials requiring these types of sepa-
rations.
While most office printers are content to deliver simple stapling,
Canon’s imageRUNNER 5000/6000 raises expectations by offering the
most extensive level of document-finishing in its class. The
inageRUNNER 5000/6000 offers a choice of two finishers, both
designed to enchance productivity and faclitate the delivery of the most
professional-looking documents.
The imageRUNNER 5000/6000 Finisher-F1 offers two trays to handle A6
to A3 output. With a total output capacity of 2,000 sheets, the Finisher-
F1 can handle even the longest print runs. With the ability to staple in
any corner of the page, or place multiple staples in either margin, the
imageRUNNER 5000/6000 finishes the job in style.
Need to create booklets? With the imageRUNNER 5000. the creation of
booklets from hard-copy or electronic originals has never been easier.
The imageRUNNER 5000/6000 Saddle Finisher-F2 offers three trays,
two dedicated for stapled output, with the third dedicated to saddle-
stitched booklets. Offering a total output capacity of 2,300 sheets
(2,000 in top trays, 300 in saddle-stitch tray), the Saddle Finisher-F2
offers the same capabilites as the Finisher-F1.
For even greater levels of finishing, Canon offers an optional hole-
punching unit for both imageRUNNER 5000/6000 finishers. With the
ability to deliver 2-hole punched output, the imageRUNNER 5000/6000
is one of the few systems capable of punching A3, A4, A4R, B4, B5, B5R
paper sizes.
