Chapter 7 Daily Cleaning

Press the [Stop] key.

The shading plates retract.

Carefully close the upper scanner.

Press the upper scanner down firmly on both sides to close it.

If you press the upper scanner down only on one side, the opposite side

will not be fully closed. Make sure that you hear it click into place.

If there is no change in the appearance of the image after you have cleaned the

shading plates, contact your service representative.
