Printing from the Standard Paper Cassette
Configuring the paper size via the control panel
The printer engine does not have any paper size sensor. Please be sure to set the correct
paper size from the control panel. If you do not set the correct paper size, misprints and
paper jams will occur. The default size is A4.
When you change the paper in the paper cassette, follow this procedure to set the paper
size for the paper cassette. You can also use this procedure to set the paper size for the
Optional 250 Sheet Paper Feed Unit (CASSETTE2 SIZE).

Press Go to take the printer off-line. At this time, make sure the On Line indicator is
off. The READY message will be changed to as follows:

Press Menu to display the first menu name in the top line.

Press Menu until you see FEEDER MENU in the top line.

Press Item until the following message appears in the bottom line. Alternatively,
CASSETTE2 SIZE can be set as an option.

Press Value until you see the size of the paper cassette. Letter size is shown here, as
an example.

Press Enter.

Press Go to put the printer back on-line.
