[Auto Power Off]: In order to save power when the camcorder is powered by a battery pack, it will automatically
shut off if left without any operation for 5 minutes.
Approximately 30 seconds before the camcorder shuts off, [Auto Power Off] will appear. Operating any of the
camcorder’s controls while the message is displayed will prevent the camcorder from shutting off.
[Tally Lamp]: When this function is set to [i On], the tally lamp illuminates when the camcorder is recording a
clip; it flashes when the self timer is counting down and flashes at a faster rate when under 2 seconds remain.
[Battery Info]: This option displays a screen where you can verify the battery charge (as a percentage) and the
remaining recording time ( and modes) or playback time ( and modes).
If the battery pack is exhausted, the battery information may not be displayed.
The indicates the battery life of the battery pack. If appears in green, battery life has not diminished.
If appears in green, the battery life has partly diminished. If appears in red, we recommend that you
buy a new battery pack.
[HDMI Time Code]: Allows you to output a time code signal from the HDMI OUT terminal.
[HDMI Rec Command]: When this function is set to [i On] and you use the HDMI OUT terminal to connect the
camcorder to a device compatible with HDMI recording commands, when you start or stop recording with the
camcorder, the other device will also start or stop recording. This function is not available when [HDMI Time
Code] is set to [j Off].
[HDMI Status]: Displays a screen where you can verify the standard of the output signal from the HDMI OUT
terminal.
[Distance Units]: Selects the units to use for the focusing distance display while focusing manually. This setting
also affects units for GPS information when using the optional GP-E2 GPS Receiver.
[Rec Touch Operations]: Select [j Off] and then touch [OK] to lock the touch screen in order to prevent settings
from being changed inadvertently while you record. To cancel, use the joystick to select [i On] and then
select [OK].
[Output Onscreen Displays]: When set to [i On], the camcorder’s onscreen displays will appear also on the
screen of a TV or monitor connected to the camcorder. Not available for 4K clips.
[Certification Logo Display]: This displays select certification logos that apply to this camcorder.
This setting may not be available depending on the country/region of purchase.
[Firmware]: Y
ou can ve
rify the current version of the camcorder’s firmware. This menu option is usually
unavailable.
[Reset All]: Resets all of the camcorder's settings.
