Indicator Lights
POWER light
Indicates that the printer is on.
ERROR light
Lights when the printer is out of paper, paper is jammed, or any other problem exists.
If the light stays on continuously, you can correct the error.
If the light blinks (flashes), a system error has occurred, which requires a service call.
PRINT MODE lightIndicate the print mode:
Microsoft Windows PrintingON Print with the Microsoft Windows Printing System
OFF Print with other software (such as MS-DOS
application programs)
720 dpi ON Print in 720 x 720 dpi or 720 x 360 dpi; this mode
is available only with Microsoft Windows Printing
System
OFF Print in 360 x 360 dpi or 180 x 180 dpi
HQ ON Print in high quality mode
OFF Print in high speed mode
PLAIN PAPER ON Print on plain paper
OFF Print on coated paper, transparencies, back print
film, high gloss film, or high resolution paper
