About This Driver

This driver is a Linux operating system printer driver that supports Canon devices. It uses CUPS (the Common

UNIX Printing System) for Linux operating systems.

Installing this driver enables you to print with built-in device functions from the GUI (Graphical User Interface)

settings screen and command line.

Printing from the Driver Settings Screen

You can execute the cngplp command from the command line to print from the displayed driver settings

screen. This screen enables you to set built-in device functions.

Printing from the Application Settings Screen

You can display the settings screen and print from the print menu of an application. The print functions that can

be congured differ according to the application.

NOTE

● Print functions that cannot be congured from the application can be used by changing the default settings

from the driver conguration screen or the command line.
