The print alignment may need to
be changed.
Perform the steps to optimize the
print alignment as described on
page 70.
Colors print incorrectly. The BJC-610 driver may not be
selected.
Verify that you selected the
BJC-610 printer driver.
Ink cartridges may be installed in
the incorrect slots.
Remove each ink cartridge that is
in an incorrect slot. Check that
the inks have not mixed in the
cartridges. If this is the case,
replace any mixed cartridges with
new ones.
Execute the custom cleaning once
for each of the colors that were
installed incorrectly.
Reinstall the cartridges in the
correct slots, then execute the
custom cleaning again for the
colors that were installed
incorrectly.
If the incorrect color problem
persists, repeat the custom
cleaning two to three times.
If the problem still persists,
replace the ink cartridges with
new ones.
Colors are missing. The color ink cartridges may not
be firing properly.
Print a test page to make sure the
ink cartridges are firing correctly.
The print head unit may need to be
cleaned.
Clean the print head unit for the
color that does not seem to be
operating properly. See Cleaning
the Print Head Unit on page 128
for detailed instructions.
Printing is slow in color mode Print Manager may be turned on. Make sure Print Manager is
turned off.
Print options may be too complex.Set all print options to their
defaults: Plain paper, 360 x 360
dpi, High Quality Graphic,
Smooth Halftoning.
