C. Drive Mechanism

1 . Removing the paper feeder pickup

clutch

1) Disconnect the 4 connectors [1], and free

the harness from the harness guide.

2) Remove the 2 screws [2], and detach the

paper feeder pickup assembly [3].

3) Remove the 4 screws [4] and the ground-

ing wire [5]; then, detach the pickup

motor assembly [6].

4) Remove the pickup roller [7]. (See III-A-1

‘Removing the Cassette Pickup Roller.’)

5) Holding the lock knob [8], slide the roller

shaft [9] in the direction indicted in the

figure.
