* The ink used in cleaning is absorbed by the waste ink absorber inside of the machine. When this
error occurs, you must replace the waste ink absorber or have the machine serviced.
Error No.: 1851 Is Displayed
Error No.: 1856 Is Displayed
Error No.: 2001 Is Displayed
Error No.: 2500 Is Displayed
Cause Action
The waste ink absorber* is nearly
full
Press [Stop/Reset] to release the error. You can still print for a short
period, but when it becomes full you will no longer be able to print.
Contact a Canon service representative as soon as possible.

You open Inner Cover 1 during
normal printing.
Press [OK] on the machine after you close the Inner Cover 1.

printing.
Press [OK] on the machine and try printing again, after you close the
Inner Cover 1.
